It is with upmost honor and privilege to support Families through such a momentous occasion:
The Birth of their Child.
Since 1998, I have had the honor of working with hundreds of Families. I began my career by babysitting for families on my brother’s Baseball Team. This easily transcended into consistent Nanny jobs and postpartum support arrangements. I grew up in a large family of 6 kids; 5 brothers. My Mom was a surrogate 3 times, she studied Midwifery and was very active in the San Francisco Bay Area birth scene. I grew up around lots of Pregnant Women, Birth Mothers and new babies. As my older Brothers grew up and moved out of the house, my Mom did Foster Care; taking in many delicate babies in crisis. While in College, studying Child Development and Pediatric Nutrition I attended my first doula training (DONA International, 2002) and my first birth. I was instantly hooked. I started my Doula business and quickly had a steady stream of Birth and Postpartum Clients. In spring of 2005, I opened “A Nanny Solution, Inc.”, a Nanny/Household staffing and Doula Agency successfully operating in San Jose, California for 7 years. I assisted high profile families and Celebrities hire Night Nurses, Nannies, Postpartum Doulas, Private Lactation Consultants, Birth Doulas and Household Staff. After winning the “Best of the Bay Area” award 6 years in a row I sold “A Nanny Solution, Inc.” to pursue a full time Doula and Lactation Career, as well as Motherhood.
Witnessing that first birth in 2002 lit a fire within me; I have always had a passion for birthing, Mother/Baby bonding & Breastfeeding.
I truly believe this is what I am meant to do.
I wear many hats as my credentials include: Trained and Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula with DONA International, being a Birth Intern for Health Foundations Birth Center, Certified HypnoBirthing Doula, Certified Lactation Counselor, Newborn Care Specialist, Childbirth Educator, Certified Infant Sleep Consultant, Former Household Staffing Agency Owner, High Profile/Celebrity Nanny, Accredited La Leche League Leader; with over 21 years of specialized in home newborn/infant care experience, 13 years of professional lactation experience and over 700+ hours of education/trainings.
In March of 2018, I earned a Midwife Assistant credential from the famous, The Farm in Summertown Tennessee on a path to become a Midwife. I am blessed to have a very supportive Family, understanding of my around-the-clock, on-call schedule.
My husband and I have two daughters, Gabriella “Ella” Grace (13) & Ireland Rose (9) who are our whole world. When I am not at a birth or helping new babies to latch; You can find me volunteering in my Daughter’s classrooms, going to Disney World, walking the beautiful beaches of Ponte Vedra and walking around old downtown St Augustine.
I pull from my pervious vast experiences, my background and my education to give Families the most up to date evidence based information, holistic support and the highest level of loving, supportive, non judgement care.
My goal for Families is to approach the 4th trimester with feelings of empowerment, elation, peace and contentment about their individual birthing experiences.
