It is with upmost honor and privilege to support Families through such a momentous occasion:
The Birth of their Child.
Since 1998, I have had the honor of working with hundreds of Families. In 2002 I obtained a Birth & Postpartum Doula certification in Berkeley, CA and have been attending births ever since! Witnessing that first birth lit a fire within me; I have always had a passion for birthing, Mother/Baby bonding & Breastfeeding. I wear many hats as my credentials include: being a Doula for Health Foundations Birth Center, Certified HypnoBirthing Doula, Certified Lactation Counselor, Newborn Care Specialist, Childbirth Educator, Certified Infant Sleep Consultant, Former Household Staffing Agency Owner, High Profile/Celebrity Nanny, Accredited La Leche League Leader; with over 21 years of specialized in home newborn/infant care experience, 10 years of professional lactation experience and over 500+ hours of education.
I grew up in a large family of 5 brothers and no sisters. My Mom was a surrogate 3 times, she studied Midwifery and was very active in the San Francisco Bay Area birth scene. I grew up around lots of Pregnant Women, Birth Mothers and new babies. As my older Brothers grew up and moved out of the house, my Mom did Foster Care; taking in many delicate babies in crisis. While attending High School, I took on Summer nanny jobs which transcended into consistent Postpartum Doula and professional Nanny work where I quickly acquired a steady stream of high profile clientele. My College education background is in Child Development with a Minor in Pediatric Nutrition.
In March of 2018, I earned a Midwife Assistant credential from the famous, The Farm on a path to become a Midwife. I am blessed to have a very supportive Family who understands my around-the-clock, on-call schedule. My Husband, Dan and I met on a blind date, set up by our Parents in Spring of 2002; we’ve been together ever since. This year we will celebrate 15 years of marriage. We have lived in 5 states, 11 homes in 15 years. It has been a crazy-awesome-wild ride! We have two beautiful daughters, Gabriella “Ella” Grace (11) & Ireland Rose (8) who are our whole world. When I am not at a birth or helping babies to latch; You can find me volunteering in my Daughter’s classrooms, baking desserts, decorating, reading Midwifery books, studying medical journals, going to Disney World, having sunset picnics on the beach and walking around old St Augustine. I’m a huge History nerd!
I pull from my pervious vast experiences, my background and my education to give Families the most up to date evidence based information, full spectrum holistic support and the highest level of care.
My goal for Families is to approach the 4th trimester with feelings of empowerment, elation, peace and contentment about their individual birthing experiences. I look forward to holding space for Families desiring holistic focused, full spectrum, non judgement support as they embark on this new chapter.
Your Body. Your Birth. Your Baby. Your Way.
